Last night we got the opportunity to present a demo of eVenues in front of hundreds of local startups, investors, lawyers, consultants and anyone else who made their way down to the Columbia City Theater for cool demos, great conversation and even free beer at the nPost networking event.
David hit the stage at 7:20pm and besides a few minor technical difficulties served up by a previous demo (including our previously cued up site, which was no longer in the needed ready, set, go state), gave a great presentation on the concept and infrastructure behind eVenues. After five slides, a live short demo and a few applause breaks from the audience, we can say confidently that the product was well received and a great success at the event. Though we were in the likes of a few larger and more established startups such as mPire, Gist and Twilio, we watched as our product stood out as a rare service/solution that meets a physical need, WITH a business model. We were overwhelmed with support after the demo and had a constant line of folks at our table who loved the idea and were itching to learn more. The event served as our "coming out" to the Seattle tech world, as we have been working quietly on the product since early 2008. We are excited to continue rolling out new features and building venue and customer awareness in the Puget Sound region in the coming months.
Thanks to all that attended, and stay tuned for more updates on eVenues or look for us at the next event!
